Thomas Charles, 1755 - 1814, was a Minister who combined these characteristics to a rare degree.
Called to consolidate and develop a great work of God in Wales, he encouraged the revision and printing of the Bible in the Welsh language and wrote extensively on Biblical and doctrinal matters, and issues of Christian life and experience.
His work is informed by a deep knowledge of God’s work in the Church in previous generations, and is marked by a warm emphasis on genuine Christian experience. These emphases are very much needed today.
